The petitioner is seeking direction for expeditious disposal of his tribe claim of belonging to "Thakur" Scheduled Tribes, which is pending before the respondent Scrutiny Committee since 07.08.2025.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the vigilance cell inquiry has already been concluded. 4.

Since the petitioner is desirous of appearing for MHTCET-2026 examination, we direct the respondent Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claim of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and preferably by the end of July 2026.
