This Writ Petition is filed by the Petitioner seeking a direction from this Court for expeditious disposal of the Original Application (O.A.)No.1276 of 2024 filed by him assailing the order of dismissal from service dated 24th September, 2024. 2.
Mr. Ramdas Heke-Patil, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner submits that by the order dated 24th September, 2024, his client was dismissed from service without holding any inquiry. Therefore, the order dated 24th September, 2024 is unsustainable in the eyes of law. Since the Petitioner is due for retirement in the month of May, 2027 on attaining age of superannuation, hence, the matter calls for expeditious hearing and disposal by the learned MAT. He further submits that in case of further delay in disposal of PRIYA RAJESH SOPARKAR the O.A., the Petitioner would be deprived of the fruits of a by PRIYA RAJESH SOPARKAR Date: 2026.03.16 18:32:00 +0530

Ms. Reena A. Salunke, learned AGP appearing for the State submits that the matter is fixed before the learned Tribunal on 23rd /25th March, 2026.

Considering the nature of grievance expressed in the Writ Petition and circumstances of the case, we are inclined to allow the prayer.

The Writ Petition is, therefore, disposed of with a request to the learned MAT to dispose the Original Application, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within three months of receipt of a copy of this order.
