CORAM

: AMIT BORKAR, J.

DATED : MARCH 17, 2026 P.C.:

1.

Challenge in this writ petition arises out of order passed by Deputy Registrar, Co-operative Societies, against which the petitioner has remedy of revision by way of approaching the Revisional Authority under Section 154 of the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, 1960. This position of law has been laid down by the full Bench of Bombay High Court in the case of Shireen Sami Gadiali and Anr. Vs. Spenta Co-operative Housing Society Ltd. and Ors., (2011) 4 Mh.L.J. 486, wherein full bench of this Court held that revision under Section 154 is a remedy available as of right to an aggrieved person. Therefore, the petitioner will have to approach the Revisional Authority. If such revision has filed, the Revisional Authority has to decide the revision as expeditiously as possible.
