All the Petitions have been filed challenging the Advertisement No. 06/2026 dated 18.03.2026, published by Respondent No. 3 for the post of Additional Public Prosecutor - Group A.

The learned AGPs waive service of notice for Respondent Nos. 1 and 2 in the respective matters and submit that an efficacious alternative remedy is available to the Petitioners to approach the learned Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal (hereinafter referred to as "the Tribunal"). Though the learned Advocates for the Petitioners have attempted to provide reasons as to why the Petitioners have not approached the Tribunal, their submissions are beyond the pleadings. Therefore, keeping the said point open, we issue notice to Respondent No. 3, returnable tomorrow i.e. 9th April, 2026, as the learned Advocates for the Petitioners undertake to serve Respondent No. 3 by a proper mode and to file an affidavit to that effect, along with documents, tomorrow itself.
