This petition has been filed for a limited purpose of seeking direction to decide tribe claim of the petitioner of belonging to "Thakur" Scheduled Tribe expeditiously, which is pending with the respondent-Scrutiny Committee since 23.11.2023.

In the light of the fact that vigilance cell enquiry has already been conducted and report has been submitted, we find that it is a matter of filing reply by the petitioner to the said report and hearing the matter. The petitioner undertakes to appear before the Scrutiny Committee on 16.04.2026.

In that view of the matter, we direct the respondent No.2 Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claim of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of two months from today.
