The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to decide the application for interim relief during the pendency of Appeal No. 29 of 2026. However, the learned AGP has placed on record a copy of the order dated 23 March 2026, whereby the Petitioners' application for interim relief has already been rejected, and the said appeal has been posted for hearing on 9 April 2026. In view thereof, nothing survives for adjudication in the present petition.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of as infructuous.

The said appeal shall be decided within a period of two weeks from 9 April 2026.
