CORAM

: AMIT BORKAR, J.

DATED : APRIL 6, 2026 P.C.:

1.

Leave to amend. Amendment to be carried out forthwith. 2.

By the impugned order, the Appellate Authority, before which an appeal challenging the order passed under Section 154B27 of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960 is presently pending, has declined to grant ad-interim relief and has fixed the said appeal for hearing on 27 April 2026.

3.

The Petitioner is aggrieved by the refusal to grant ad-interim relief, particularly in view of the fact that the impugned order directs removal of the entire Managing Committee of the concerned Housing Society. However, it is noted that during the

17-wp-4200-2026.doc pendency of the appeal, an Administrator has already assumed charge. Having regard to the nature of the grievance raised in the present petition, it is considered appropriate, in the interest of justice, to direct the Appellate Authority to decide the appeal expeditiously, and in any event within a period of two weeks from 15 April 2026.

4.

The parties shall appear before the Appellate Authority on 15 April 2026 at 11:00 p.m.

5.

The writ petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 6.

There shall be no order as to costs.
