Accordingly, the interim application stands disposed of.

18-ia-3240-2026.doc WRIT PETITION NO.4219 OF 2026 3.

The petitioner has challenged the order dated 16 January 2026, whereby his grievance in relation to the appointment of an authorised person, in exercise of powers under Section 89A of the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, 1960, has been considered and rejected. The impugned order records that the petitioner is not a member of the concerned society, and, therefore, is not entitled to raise any grievance in respect of the affairs of the said society in his individual capacity. It is further observed that any such grievance can be raised only by a member of the cooperative society, and that too in accordance with the rights conferred under the provisions of the said Act.

4.

Considering the petitioner is not a member of the society, the impugned order is found to have been passed in accordance with law. Hence, the petition stands dismissed. No order as to costs. (AMIT BORKAR, J.)
