Ms. Pradnya Talekar, the learned counsel for the petitioners appears online and refers to email communication dated 5th April 2026 which indicates that Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai intends to proceed with DNA test of mortal remains of Dixit Amratlal Solanki. The learned counsel for the petitioners, who are blood relatives of Dixit Amratlal Solanki, submits that for proceeding with last rites of Dixit Amratlal Solanki if at all he is dead now, DNA test is necessary.
