This writ petition has been filed for a limited purpose of seeking direction to the respondent-Scrutiny Committee to decide tribe claim of the petitioner of belonging to "Thakur" Scheduled Tribe which is stated to have been pending since 07.04.2026.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in service and because of non submission of tribe validity certificate, the employer of the petitioner is not issuing permanent order.

Be that as it may, we find that since tribe claim of the petitioner has been submitted on 07.04.2026 and it would take some time, we direct the respondent-Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claim of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of six months from today.
