CORAM : SMT. VIBHA KANKANWADI & AJIT B. KADETHANKAR, JJ.
DATED : 06TH MAY, 2026 ORDER :- .
Learned Advocate for the petitioner is absent, however we have considered the petition and the memo. Heard Ms. N. B. Kamble, learned AGP for respondent-State and Mr. S. B. Pulkundwar h/f Mr. S. R. Dheple, for respondent no.2.
2.
The petitioner contends that he was appointed as Gram Sevak on 07.02.1970 with respondent no.2 and he was compulsorily retired on 30.11.2002. According to the petitioner, in view of Rule 100 of the Maharashtra Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1982, the petitioner is entitled for the pension and pensionary benefits and therefore, he has made representation with respondent no.2 on 19.11.2025. Though, the petitioner has prayed for grant of pension, gratuity, and
924wp-5057-2026 pensionary benefits, it would be for respondent no.2 to take the decision. Hence, we dispose of the Writ Petition in view of the statement made on behalf of respondent no.2 that the respondent no.2 would decide the representation dated 19.11.2025 within a period of 8 weeks from today.
