This petition has been filed for a limited purpose of seeking direction to the respondent/Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claim of the petitioner of belonging to 'Tokre Koli' Scheduled Tribe which is pending with the Scrutiny Committee since 29.07.2025. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the vigilance cell enquiry report of a blood relative of the petitioner viz. Naresh Baliram Sonawane, is already on record and the petitioner is ready to adopt the same.

In that view of the matter, we direct the respondent/Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claim of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and preferably by the end of August 2026. 4.
