Heard the learned Counsel for the parties.

Mr. Bhise, learned Counsel for the Respondents - original Plaintiffs, on SSP 1/2
38 wp 5890 of 2026.doc instructions, submits that the Respondents - original Plaintiffs, have no objection to alow the Petitions and the applications for amendment in the additional written statements.

In view of the aforesaid submission and the fact that the applications for amendment in the additional written statements are required to be considered liberally as the Defendant is entitled to take additional, alternative and even inconsistent defences and the potentiality of prejudice to the Plaintiff is remote, the Writ Petitions deserve to be allowed. 4.
The impugned orders of rejection of the applications for amendment in the additional written statements stand quashed and set aside. 5.
The applications for amendment in the additional written statements stand allowed.
6.
Necessary amendment in accordance with the Schedule of amendment appended to the applications for amendment in the additional written statements be carried out by the Petitioner - Defendant within a period of four weeks and amended copies of the additional written statements be served on the Plaintiffs - Respondents.
7.
The Writ Petitions stand disposed.
