Heard learned counsel for the Petitioners and learned AGP for Respondents - State who has opposed the request. 2.

Our attention is invited to the order dated 16th July 2025, the relevant portion of which reads thus:- "3.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has drawn our attention to application dated 30th August 2007, which is annexed at page No.35 of the paper-book. It is submitted that respondent No.8 has not taken any action on the said representation which is in respect of recording the names of the petitioners in record of 1/3

rights of land Survey No.249 Hissa No.2 admeasuring 35 R at Malad, Borivali, Mumbai. Learned counsel for the petitioners, however, submits that a fresh application will be made to the respondent No.8Tahsildar, Mumbai Suburban District, Mumbai to bring on record all subsequent events and orders passed so as to enable the respondent No.8-Tahsildar to take appropriate decision. If such application is made respondent No.8-Tahsildar shall decide it expeditiously.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners will furnish copy of the application so made to respondent Nos.1 to 7. It is open for respondent Nos.1 to 7 to oppose the application.

Keeping all contention open, the Petition is disposed of."

Learned counsel for the Petitioners states that accordingly a representation was made on 6th August 2025 to the Tahsildar for appropriate decision. Though the application is dated 6th August 2025, learned counsel for the Petitioners submitted that in the prayer clause of this Petition, the Petitioners inadvertently mentioned the date as 24th October 2025. Be that as it may, since the application has been made on 6th August 2025 and the same is yet to be decided, considering the directions issued by this Court on 16th July 2025, we 2/3

expect the Tahsildar, Borivali, Mumbai Suburban to decide the representation / application dated 6th August 2025 expeditiously and in any case within a period of 12 weeks from the date of communication of the order.
