1) It must be observed at the very outset that filing of the present Petition is quite unnecessary. All that is directed by impugned order dated 16 April 2026 of the Competent Authority is to comply with the decree. Under the eviction order dated 17 February 2025 the Petitioners were directed to deposit the amount of security deposit of Rs. 2 crores within 30 days. Without making deposit of the said amount, Petitioners have moved the execution application. The Competent Authority has rightly issued possession warrant in absence of deposit of amount of security deposit by the Petitioners. 2) While this Court was about to dismiss the Petition, Mr. Tamboly, the learned counsel appearing for the Petitioners, on instructions submits that the amount of security deposit minus the Page No.

Renuka 909-WP-6284-2026 amount of damages awarded by the Competent Authority shall be deposited with the Competent Authority on or before 13 May 2026. He submits that the total amount of damages at the rate of Rs. 40,000/- per month from 28 July 2021 till May 2026 is Rs. 22,92,000/-. He submits that after adjusting the amount of damages, the balance amount of security deposit of Rs. 1,77,08,000/- shall be deposited with the Competent Authority on or before 13 May 2026. If such deposit is indeed made by the Petitioners, the Competent Authority shall proceed to issue the possession warrant.

3) With the above observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
