The petitioners in this petition are concerned with the objection raised on their behalf, with regard to apportionment of compensation in respect of the subject land i.e. Survey No.11(Pt) at Mouje Kole, Taluka Kalyan, District Thane. The objection raised by the petitioners has been considered and the learned AGP informs that respondent No.2 - Sub-divisional Officer, Kalyan (SDO) has closed the matter for orders on 02.06.2026. The petitioners have prayed for a direction to the said respondent to decide the representation/objection and also, a direction to restrain the said respondent from disbursing the compensation, in the meanwhile. 2.

Since the matter is closed for orders, there is no question of disbursal of compensation amount before the objection is decided. Further, we find substance in the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioners that in the event respondent No.2 - SDO rejects the objection raised on behalf of the petitioners, they ought to be granted Digitally signed by PRIYA KAMBLI Date:

907_WP_7541_26.doc some breathing time to challenge the same and that disbursal of compensation may be kept in abeyance, at least for a specific period of time.

Writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent No.2 - SDO to decide the representation / objection of the petitioners, which has been already closed for orders on 02.06.2026, in accordance with law.

We further direct that in the event the said respondent passes an adverse order against the petitioners, the process of disbursal of compensation shall be kept in abeyance for a period of one week from the date of passing such order.
