DATE : 24 APRIL 2026 PER COURT :

Heard both sides.

2.

Applicants are claiming the amount deposited by the respondent Acquiring Body. It is brought to my notice that by order dated 28.03.2025, the respondent Acquiring Body was directed to deposit the entire amount with accrued interest within stipulated period. They have deposited only 50% amount with accrued interest. 3.

In similarly situated matters, this Court permitted the claimants to receive the amounts deposited in this Court vide order dated 26.03.2026 passed in FA / 2116 / 2025.

4.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent - Acquiring Body submits that she is armed with cheque of the balance amount. The amount could not be deposited in time.

3 940-946, 970 5.

Office is directed to accept the cheque.

6.

As the Acquiring Body has complied with the order albeit belatedly, there is no difficulty in following the same course, as is done previously. I, therefore, pass the following order :- 7.

Civil Applications are allowed partly, permitting the applicants to receive 50% of amount with accrued interest upon furnishing an underaking and further 25% amount with accrued interest on furnishing solvent surety / security to the satisfaction of Registrar (Judicial) of this Court.
