Heard Mr. Adwant, learned counsel appearing for the applicant. The applicant's Writ Petition No. 3893 of 2026 was disposed of by this Court vide order dated 15.04.2026. The present Civil Application has been filed being aggrieved by the provisional attachment order passed under Section 281-B of the Income Tax Act. Mr. Adwant submits that while this Court had directed the authorities to decide the applicant's statutory appeal within a stipulated time frame, the authorities, instead of adhering to those directions, have enforced and executed the impugned provisional attachment.

Ms. Kalpalata Patil-Bharaswadkar, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents No. 2 and 3, raises a preliminary objection as to the maintainability of the civil application on the ground that it has been filed in a disposed of writ petition.
