The Applicant-wife is seeking transfer of divorce proceedings filed by the Respondent-husband from Family Court at Kolhapur to Family Court, Sangli.

Learned counsel for the Applicant submitted that pursuant to an order of maintenance in Domestic Violence proceedings filed by the Applicant-wife, the Respondent-husband has already filed Appeal No. 61 of 2023 in the District & Sessions Court at Sangli which is pending. He further submitted that the Applicant is required to attend the same at Sangli where the Applicant's parents are residing. 3.

It is submitted that the Applicant is presently working at Akluj, Solapur and therefore, compared to Kolhapur, the distance to Sangli is lesser and therefore convenient for the Applicant. 4.

Issue notice for final disposal to the Respondent, returnable on Husen

19-MCA-27-2026.doc 21.04.2026. In addition to Court notice, private notice is permitted. There shall be ad-interim stay to the proceedings of Petition A-300 of 2025 pending before Family Court at Kolhapur till next date. 5.
