Heard Shri. A. P. Raghute, learned counsel for the petitioner.

The petitioner has invited our attention to the order dated 12th March, 2024 passed in Writ Petition No. 8236 of 2022, whereby this Court directed the respondents to pay the salary of the petitioner for the period from 01.03.2016 to 31.03.2019 with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, within eight weeks from the date of the order, i.e., 12th March, 2024. Since the aforesaid direction of this Court was not complied with, the petitioner was constrained to approach this Court by filing Contempt Petition No. 239 of 2024.

In compliance of the notice issued by this Court in the contempt petition, the respondents appeared before this Court, made a part payment of Rs.15,00,000/- to the petitioner, and made a statement that the remaining amount of Rs.57,30,656/- will be paid to the petitioner within a period of six months from the date of the order. The said order was passed on

125 CP-11-2026 10th February, 2025. The statement made on behalf of the present respondents was accepted by this Court and the notice was accordingly discharged.

Shri. Raghute, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that even after the passage of almost one year now, the aforesaid statement made before this Court in Contempt Petition No. 239 of 2024 is not honoured and the remaining payment is not made to the petitioner till date.

In view of the above, issue notice to the present respondents, returnable on 13.02.2026. Considering the reasons stated above and the conduct of the present respondents, the respondents are directed to remain present before this Court on the returnable date.
