CORAM : SOMASEKHAR SUNDARESAN, J.
DATE : FEBRUARY 10, 2026 ORDER :
1.
This is a Petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking an extension of mandate of the Learned Arbitral Tribunal, which expired on
December 31, 2025.
2.
Today, when the matter is called out, Learned Counsel for the parties jointly request for an extension of mandate of the Learned Arbitral Tribunal by a period of three months, bearing in mind the stage at which the arbitral proceedings are placed.
3.
The Learned Advocates for the parties also submit that Arbitration Petition No.11 of 2026 is another connected Petition under Section 29A dealing with the very same proceedings which are underway. Although the matter is not listed today, but listed tomorrow, by consent it is taken on board and disposed of on the same terms extending the mandate to May 30, 2026.
4.
In these circumstances, taking into account the stage at which the arbitral proceedings are placed, both the captioned Petitions are finally disposed of extending the mandate of the Learned Arbitral Tribunal for a period of three months, rounding it up until May 30, 2026.
