Alleging wilful disobedience of the Order dated 06.10.2025 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No. 315 of 2025, this Contempt Petition has been filed.

2. Today, when the matter was called out, Ms. Maria Correia, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the Respondent-State, submits that a decision has already been taken in the matter on 09.10.2025, whereby the Petitioner's application has been rejected and the decision has also been communicated to the Petitioner. As such, there is compliance of the Order dated 06.10.2025.

3. The Petitioner, appearing in person, has submitted that proper 2nd February, 2026

CP 4 of 2026 procedure was not followed while rejecting the application since the Order was passed even before the Petitioner could produce the order dated 06.10.2025 passed by this Court, along with the relevant documents. On such grounds, it has been submitted that there is no compliance of this Court's order.

4. After perusal of the order dated 06.10.2025, we find that the Writ Petition was closed by taking note of the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Advocate, made under instructions, that the application filed by the Petitioner along with the supplementary application, will be disposed of within a period of two weeks. There is no mandamus issued by the Court by the Order dated 06.10.2025.

5. Under such circumstances, since the order rejecting the application has already been issued, we are unable to accept the submission of the Petitioner that this Contempt Petition should be kept alive even thereafter. However, if the Petitioner is aggrieved by the Order dated 09.10.2025, he will be at liberty to assail the same, in accordance with law.

6. With the above observations, the Contempt Petition stands closed. AMIT S. JAMSANDEKAR, J.
