This is an application filed under Section 24 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 seeking transfer of Marriage Petition A No.446 of 2025 from the file of the learned Family Court, Amravati to the Court of learned Civil Judge Senior Division, Gadchiroli.

The respondent-husband is served, as is apparent from the office note dated 06.04.2026 which shows that the respondent-husband is served by registered post. However, he has not entered appearance in the matter. 3.
The parties are blessed with child who is presently 14 months of age. It is stated in the application that the custody of the minor child is with applicant-wife. 4.
In view of the aforesaid, in the considered opinion of this Court, it would not be convenient for the applicant-wife to prosecute the proceedings at Amravati, which is at distance around 330 km from Gadchiroli. It must also be stated that the applicant-wife has instituted proceedings under Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 at Gadchiroli.

In view of the aforesaid, Marriage Petition A No.446 of 2025 is ordered to be transferred from the file of the learned Family Court, Amravati to the Court of learned Civil Judge Senior Division, Gadchiroli.
