Ghuge, learned counsel for the petitioner who submits that the petitioner is occupying the property mentioned in prayer clause (i) since last many years and has been running a flourmill on the said property after seeking license in accordance with law. The petitioner has been paying the taxes and fines levied by the Government from time to time in respect of the occupation of the said property.

It is submitted that on 04/04/2002 the Government of Maharashtra has issued a Government Resolution laying down the procedure for regularizing the encroachment on the Government land for residential use. A similar policy has been adopted by respondent No.1 on 17/11/2018 wherein the Urban Development Department has issued a Government Resolution laying down the mode and manner in which the encroachments on the Government lands were to be regularized under the scheme titled as "Homes for Everyone 2022". 3.

Shri Ghuge, learned counsel has invited our attention to various representations made by the petitioner from 26/07/2024 onwards (record pages 31 to 35 (Annexure-D colly) to the respondent

2 5-WP-486-26.odt No.1-Collector, Buldhana praying for regularisation of the aforesaid property. Shri Ghuge submits that till today, the aforesaid representations are not decided.

In view of above, we dispose of the petition with directions to respondent No.1 to decide the representations of the petitioner more specifically representation dated 01/10/2024 (record page Nos.31 to 35 Annexure-D colly) within a stipulated period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the order of this Court. The respondent No.1 shall consider the policy of Government of Maharashtra adopted vide Government Resolutions dated 04/04/2002 and 17/11/2018 while taking decision on the aforesaid representations. The decision taken thereupon shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of decision.
