The only prayer made in the present petition is for a direction to the respondent No.1 to decide the proposal submitted by the respondent No.2 which is at record page no.9 (Annexure-A).

The submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that though the aforesaid proposal is submitted by the respondent No.2 on 25th May, 2016, it is almost ten years now that the proposal is pending with the respondent No.1 and hence the direction may be issued to the respondent No.1 to decide the aforesaid proposal within a stipulated period.

In view of above, we dispose of the present petition with a direction to the respondent No.1 to decide the proposal dated 25th May, 2016 submitted by the respondent No.2, which is at record page no.9 (Annexure-A), within a stipulated period of four weeks from the date of receipt of this order. The respondent No.1, while deciding the aforesaid proposal for regularization of the encroachment made by the petitioner, shall take the decision after considering the relevant provisions of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code and the Rules framed thereunder. The decision taken thereupon shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks thereafter.

The petitioner undertakes to produce the copy of the order of this Court before the respondent No.1 within a period of one week from today. 5.

Needless to mention that this Court has not observed anything on the merits of the aforesaid proposal for the entitlement of the petitioner for regularization of encroachment.
