The contention of the petitioner is that, the petitioner has approached respondent No. 2 -the Special Land Acquisition Officer and Sub Divisional Officer, Gondia, Tahsil and District Gondia by filing application under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 for re-determination of the compensation granted.

Mr R. M. Pande, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the application was submitted on 05.09.2023. Since the aforesaid application is not yet decided, the petitioner has submitted several representations in the year 2024-2025. The last representation was made on 16.10.2025. However, even after passage of time, the aforesaid application is not yet decided by respondent No.2.

In view of the above, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking direction of this Court to respondent No.2 to decide the aforesaid application filed by the petitioner on 05.09.2023 within a stipulated period. 5.

In view of the above, we dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to the respondent No. 2 to decide the application dated 24.08.2023, which is on record at page 48 Annexure C, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of order of this Court. 6.

The decision taken thereupon shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks thereafter.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of. No order as to costs.
