In the present petition, prayer is to direct the respondents to consider and decide the petitioner's request dated 20/12/2025, for extension of time for submission of performance security. This performance security is to be submitted by the petitioner pursuant to his participation in the tender process for transportation of crushed coal at Ballarpur Area and, issuance of letter of acceptance in favour of the petitioner declaring the petitioner as a successful bidder.

The time period as mentioned in the request letter dated 20/12/2025, for extension has elapsed long back.

According to us, this petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, the same is disposed of.

However, we grant liberty to the petitioner to make a fresh application to the respondents for extension of time for submission of performance security, if the petitioner so desires.

If such application is submitted within three days by the petitioner, the respondents shall take decision on the same in next three days from the date of receipt of application and communicate the decision to the petitioner within two days.
