The petitioner, who is having CL-III licence No. 87, has approached this Court praying for a direction to the respondent No.2 -the District Collector, Chandrapur to permit the present petitioner to resume and carry on the business of country liquor shop.

Originally the licence of the petitioner was at Chandrapur, however subsequently it was transferred to Walsawangi, Tq. Bokardan, District Jalna. The petitioner after passage of time had applied before the respondent No.4-the District Collector, Jalna for shifting of the aforesaid CL-III licence No. 87 from Jalna to Chandrapur District. 4.

Accordingly, the permission was granted to the petitioner for shifting of such licence and now, the license has been shifted to Chandrapur.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that even though the license is permitted to be shifted from Jalna to

105.wp.1061.2026.odt Chandrapur, however the petitioner is not yet permitted to resume and carry on the business of country liquor shop. Accordingly, the petitioner had submitted representation/ application to the respondent No.2-the District Collector, Chandrapur on 29.01.2026 seeking such permission. The application dated 29.01.2026 is placed on record at page 23 (Annexure D).

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent No.2 has not yet acted upon such application and has not yet decided the same.

In view of the above, we direct the respondent No.2-the District Collector, Chandarpur to decide the aforesaid representation/application dated 29.01.2026 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of order of this Court.

The learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes to produce the copy of this order before the respondent No.2 within a period of one week from today. 9.

The decision taken thereupon shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks thereafter.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of. No order as to costs.
