DATED : 11th February, 2026 Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. The petitioner seeks direction of this Court to the respondent No.2 to decide the application dated 22/07/2020 for grant of renewal of lease of the petitioner in respect of his E-Class land bearing Gat No.123 admeasuring 0.040 HR situated at Mouza Adoli, Tahsil and District Washim which is at record page 55 (Annexure-P-5). 2.

It is submitted that such direction was issued by this Court on earlier occasion vide judgment dated 11/08/2023 in Writ Petition No.5127/2023 wherein this Court has directed the respondent No.1 to take a decision in that regard within a period of three months from the date of receipt of order dated 11/08/2023 which is at record page 58 (Annexure-P-6). The contention is that even after a specific direction was issued by this Court, respondent No.2 has still not decided the aforesaid application dated 22/07/2020 and hence the present writ petition.

When we asked the learned Assistant Government Pleader Shri P. P. Pendke to seek instructions from respondent No.2 regarding status of the aforesaid application, Shri Pendke tendered across the bar

2 117-WP-1064-26.odt copy of communication dated 10/02/2026 issued by the District Collector, Washim. The communication reveals that the petitioner has been called by respondent No.2 for hearing on 13/02/2026 at 10.30 am and the renewal application of the petitioner will be positively decided within ten days in accordance with law from the appearance of the petitioner before the said Authority. Communication dated 10/02/2026 is taken on record and marked 'X' for identification. Statement made by the District Collector, Washim in communication dated 10/02/2026 is accepted as an undertaking to the Court.

Accordingly, in view of the aforesaid statement made by the District Collector, Washim in communication dated 10/02/2026, the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed. 5.

In view of above, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach this Court if occasion arises. No costs.
