CORAM :- ANIL S. KILOR and RAJ D. WAKODE, JJ. DATE :- 13th FEBRUARY, 2026.
P. C.
Heard Shri Pande, the learned counsel for the petitioner. 2.
The contention is that the father of the petitioner, who was working as a 'Helper' Grade-II with the respondent no.2-Maharashtra Agro Industrial Development Corporation Ltd., Wardha, expired while in service on 20.01.2000. The mother of the petitioner accordingly applied for grant of compassionate appointment on 30.05.2001. However, since the mother of the petitioner was not appointed on compassionate basis, she became overage. Accordingly, she applied for grant of compassionate appointment to her son i.e. the present petitioner in 2015.
3.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that even after passage of more than 10 years, the aforesaid application of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment is not decided by the respondent no.2.
4.
In view of above, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the respondent no.2 to decide the application submitted by the petitioner for grant of appointment on compassionate basis, within a

With these directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. ( RAJ D. WAKODE, J.) (ANIL S. KILOR, J.) Andurkar.
