Heard Shri Wankhade, the learned counsel for the petitioner. 2.
The contention is that the petitioner is a ex-serviceman, and he is pursuing his request for allotment of 2 hectares of land situated in Group No. 386, Mouje Bori, Taluka Mehkar, District Buldhana, in accordance with the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966. Such request of the petitioner was considered by the authorities and after conducting an enquiry, the Tahsildar, Mehkar, on 30.07.2010 had submitted report thereby recommending such allotment of the land of 2 hectares to the petitioner on payment of Rs.3,14,628/-. The aforesaid report was submitted to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Mehkar for further necessary action.

Communication dated 29.03.2011 which is at record page No.29Annexure 'H' reveals that there were certain discrepancies pointed out in the aforesaid proposal by the Collector, Buldhana. 4.
Shri Wankhade, the learned counsel, submits that even after such discrepancies were removed and the petitioner is ready to deposit the
113-WP-1297-2026.odt 2 aforesaid amount of Rs.3,14,628/- for allotment of land, the respondent authority has done nothing in the matter for last 15 years and the aforesaid proposal of the petitioner is pending. Since the respondent authority has not taken any decision on the said proposal, the petitioner has submitted reminder to the respondent no.1Collector, Buldhana on 19.01.2026. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that even after such reminder, the respondent no.1Collector, Buldhana, has done nothing in the matter. 5.
In view of the aforesaid contention, we dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to the respondent no.1-Collector, Buldhana, to decide the aforesaid proposal of the petitioner for allotment of land admeasuring 2 hectares situated at Mouje-Bori, Taluka Mehkar, District Buldhana, in Gat No. 386 pertaining to which the report was submitted by the Tahsildar, Mehkar, on 30.07.2010, which is at record page Nos.26-28-Annexure-G, within a stipulated period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the order of this Court. The petitioner undertakes to produce a copy of order of this Court before the respondent no.1-Collector, Buldhana, within a period of one week from today. Decision taken thereupon shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of such decision.

With these directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
