The petitioner - Institution was granted permission to run Bachelor of Pharmacy and Diploma in Pharmacy courses for the academic year 2024-25. The said permission was granted on 19th September, 2024 for an intake capacity of 60 students.

Owing to the increasing demand and popularity of the petitioner - Institution, the petitioner/management applied on 16th October, 2025 to respondent No.2 - the Directorate of Technical Education seeking enhancement of the intake capacity from 60 to 100 students for the academic year 2026-27. The said application, seeking issuance of No Objection Certificate for increasing the intake capacity of the Bachelor of Pharmacy course, is at record page No.36 (Annexure-5).

Mr. Bhoyar, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the aforesaid application has not yet been decided by respondent No.2. He has also invited our attention to the reminder dated 29th January, 2026 submitted by the petitioner to respondent No.2, requesting issuance of the No Objection Certificate in pursuance of the earlier application dated 16th October, 2025.

In view of the above, we dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to respondent No.2 - the Directorate of Technical Education to decide the petitioner's application dated 16th October, 2025, which is at record page No.36 (Annexure-5), seeking enhancement of intake capacity for the Bachelor of Pharmacy course for the academic year 2026-27, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

The petitioner undertakes to produce a copy of this order before respondent No.2 within one week from today. 7.
