By way of instant petition, the petitioner has prayed for granting appropriate pay-scale and other consequential benefits. In this regard, he has also moved representation dated 27/01/2026, which is at record page 54 (Annexure-VI). 3.

It is also the case of the petitioner that a similar issue has already been decided by this Court in Writ Petition No.4012/2011 (Kamlakar Narayan Barmate and ors. Vs. Chief Engineer and ors.) on 12/12/2018, which decision has been affirmed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Special Leave to Appeal (C) No.24477 of 2019, decided on 12/02/2025.

That being so, we direct the respondent-Authority to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 27/01/2026 within a period of two weeks from production of this order. The decision taken shall be communicated to the petitioner within further two weeks of such decision.
