In this petition, the petitioners have made following prayers:
"(i) direct the Respondents authorities to take all measures ensuring that water logging or sewer line blockage will not occur in the premises of the petitioners and to install storm drain water pipes to ensure free flow of water and sewage line before monsoon i.e. before 31st May, 2026 and also clear all encroachments over the conservancy lane passing through the L.A.D. College Square to Shankarnagar Square. (ii) direct the Respondent no.2 to clear all blockages and obstructions from the sewage pipeline passing through the Plot No. 15/A, Shivajinagar, Nagpur, within a period of 48 hours by emergency repair works and to conduct comprehensive environmental health and contamination assessment of the affected area and implement necessary remediation and decontamination measures;
(iii) direct the Respondent authorities to undertake comprehensive repair and complete replacement of the sewage pipeline infrastructure to increase its operational capacity to accommodate current and projected sewage generation and install appropriate capacity storm drain water pipe line to clear the rainy water so that the issue of water logging at Plot No. 15/A will come to an end. (iv) grant ad-interim relief in terms of prayer clause (ii);
107.WP.1720.2026 2/2 (v) saddle the heavy cost on account of non-performance of duty despite repeatedly put to their notice." 3.
A perusal of the aforesaid prayer clauses reveals that the respondents - Nagpur Municipal Corporation have not acted upon the reliefs already sought by the petitioners through their representation dated 12th April, 2024. The said representation dated 12th April, 2024 is at record page No.37 (Annexure-P-6). 4.
Mr. Kale, learned counsel for the petitioners, submits that despite the passage of almost two years, respondent Nos.2 and 3 have neither acted upon the said representation nor rejected the same.

In view of the above, we dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to decide the aforesaid representation dated 12th April, 2024 within a stipulated period of two weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

The decision taken thereupon shall be communicated to the petitioners within a period of two weeks from the date of such decision.
