Heard Shri Anil Dhawas, the learned counsel for the petitioner. 2.

The contention is, a CL-III License bearing No.83 was issued to one Smt. Shantidevi Laxminarayan Jaiswal. After the death of the license holder, there is a dispute amongst her legal heirs. In view of the aforesaid dispute, the Collector, Chandrapur had suspended the aforesaid license. Being aggrieved by the decision of the Collector, the petitioner has approached to the Commissioner, State Excise, who was initially on 30.10.2023 was pleased to grant interim relief by staying the operation of the order passed by the Collector. However, finally the Commissioner, State Excise, on 06.08.2024 has directed to keep the license closed until such dispute is resolved, in view of the Government letter dated 20.08.1996. Being aggrieved by the decision of the Collector, so also of the Commissioner, State Excise, the petitioner approached the Hon'ble Minister by filing Revision under Section 138 of the Maharashtra Prohibition Act, 1949.

Shri Dhawas, the learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the aforesaid Revision was heard finally on 08.09.2025 and it was intimated to the parties that the order will be passed within a week's

114-WP-1743-2026.odt 2 time from the date of hearing. However, since 08.09.2025 no orders are passed in the aforesaid Revision after a passage of almost six months now. Hence the petitioner has approached this Court seeking directions to the respondent-Hon'ble Minister of State Excise to decide the aforesaid Revision within stipulated period. 4.

For the aforesaid reasons, we dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to the respondent - Hon'ble Minister of State Excise to decide Revision Application No.10 of 2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the order of this Court. 5.

The petitioner undertakes to produce the copy of this order before the respondent - Hon'ble Minister within a period of one week from today.

Decision taken thereupon, shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of such decision. 7.

With these directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 8.
