Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Counsel for the respondent.

By this petition, the petitioner seeks direction to the respondent to decide the application/representation dated 17/11/2025 submitted by the petitioner for substitution of his name in the list of compassionate appointments in place of his father. However, no decision has been taken by the respondent on the said application.

Considering that the prayer in the present petition is limited to a direction to the respondent to decide the aforesaid application/ representation within a time-bound period, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the petition at this stage.

Accordingly, the respondent - Zilla Parishad, through its Chief Executive Officer, Akola, is directed to consider and decide the application/ representation, dated 17/11/2025 of the petitioner in accordance with the law laid down by the Full Bench of this Court in Kalpana Vilas Taram vs. State of Maharashtra in Writ Petition No. 3701/2022 and other connected matters, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of this order.
