The petitioner, a retired employee, has approached this Court seeking direction to the respondent- Maharashra Jeevan Pradhikaran to restore the Grade Pay of the petitioner @ Rs.2,200/- and accordingly, refix the retirement benefits and pay of the petitioner. 2.

The contention of the petitioner is that the Grade Pay of the petitioner was reduced from Rs.2,200/- to Rs.1,900/- after the retirement of the petitioner without granting him an opportunity of hearing. Hence, present writ petition.

The perusal of the petitioner reveals that the petitioner has already approached respondent Nos.2 to 4 for the aforesaid relief and has filed the detailed representation

103 wp 1809-2026.odt on 09.10.2024 and consequently on 31.10.2024 and 16.06.2025. The aforesaid representations are collectively annexed at record page No.18 (Annexure-N).

Learned Counsel for petitioner submits that, in spite of the last representation, the respondent has not acted upon the same nor rejected the aforesaid representations. 5.

In view of above, we disposed of the present writ petition with a direction to respondent No.2- Member Secretary, Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran, Mumbai, to decide the aforesaid representations submitted by the petitioner in accordance with law and within a stipulated period of 8 weeks from the receipt of the order of this Court.

The petitioner undertakes to produce a copy of the order of this Court before respondent No. 2 within a period of one week from today. The decision taken thereupon shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the order.

The Writ Petition is disposed of.
