Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 2.
The petitioner has approached this Court, raising the grievance that the application submitted by him on 17.07.2025 to the respondent No.2 - Collector, Bhandara, seeking conversion of his land from Class-II to Class-I category, has not yet been decided.

On the basis of such application, the Tahsildar, Tumsar published a proclamation dated 21.07.2025 (page 43), inviting objections, if any, from the concerned persons regarding the proposed conversion.

The Respondent No.3 - Sub-Divisional Officer, Tumsar, had also called for a report from the concerned Talathi, Khapa, Tahsil Tumsar. Pursuant thereto, the Talathi and the Circle Officer conducted an inspection and prepared an Inspection Note/Check List dated 19.08.2025, nd.thawre
2/2 (page 45) regarding the proposed conversion. In the said report, they expressed no objection to the conversion, subject to compliance with the conditions prescribed under the Government Resolutions dated 08.03.2019, 10.12.2020 and 28.01.2021. Thereafter, on 20.08.2025, the Talathi submitted a detailed report to Respondent No.3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, in spite of compliance with all the necessary procedural requirements, the respondent No.2 has not yet decided the application submitted by the petitioner.

In view of the above, we direct the respondent No.2Collector, Bhandara to decide the application dated 17.07.2025, submitted by the petitioner for conversion of his land Class-II to Class-I Category within six weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

The learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes to furnish copy of this order to the respondent No.2 within one week from today.

The decision taken shall be communicated to the petitioner within two weeks from the date of such decision. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No order as to costs.
