Heard learned Counsel for petitioner.

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking direction to consider and grant extension of the petitioner's contract period by at least two months or such period as deemed fit in the interest of justice.

A perusal of the petition reveals that the petitioner has approached respondent No.2, Municipal Council, Wardha, on several occasions and lastly on 19.01.2026, praying for such relief. The aforesaid applications for extension are collectively annexed at record page No.25 (Annexure-C).

Learned Counsel for the petitioner Shri Syed Salman Ali, submits that the application submitted by the petitioner for extension has not yet been decided by the respondents.

In view of the above, we dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to respondent No.2, the Chief

120 wp 1917-2026.odt Officer, Municipal Council, Wardha, to decide the application dated 19.01.2026, which is at record page No.25 (Annexure-C), along with the earlier applications submitted by the petitioner for such relief, within a stipulated period of two weeks from the date of production of the order of this Court.

The decision taken thereupon shall be communicated within a period of two weeks thereafter. 7.

The Writ Petition is disposed of.
