Patil, Advocate for petitioners CORAM : ANIL S. KILOR AND RAJ D. WAKODE, JJ. DATE : 09.03.2026 1.

Heard learned Counsel for petitioners.

2.

The contention of the petitioners is that the father of the petitioners, who was in the service of the respondents, died in harness on 09.04.2012. The petitioners, being the sons of the deceased employee Shri Sudhakar Jagannath Potraje, applied for grant of compassionate appointment on the basis of the scheme adopted by W.C.L.

3.

Learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the application has not yet been decided by the respondents. Accordingly, the petitioners submitted a final representation to the respondents, W.C.L., on 17.08.2025, which is at record page No.24 (Annexure-5). In spite of such representation, respondent No.3 has neither decided the said application nor acted upon it.

4.

In view of the above, we dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to respondent No.3 to decide the application submitted by the petitioners for grant of appointment on compassionate basis within a stipulated
