Heard Mr. P.R. Agrawal, the learned counsel for the petitioner.

The petitioner has approached this court seeking direction to the respondents for demarcating the revenue boundaries of village Fulchurtola (Fulchurpeth) and recognizing the same as revenue village in view of the formation of the Gram Panchayat, Fulchurtola, Tahsil and District-Gondia.

The contention is that the aforesaid Gram Panchayat was constituted vide Notification dated 23rd June, 1994, but the revenue boundaries of village Fulchurtola are not recognized and demarcated till today.

The perusal of the present petition reveals that the petitioner has approached the various revenue authorities regarding such grievance. The communication dated 19.9.2025 issued by the office of Tahsildar, Gondia, which is at record page 25, Annexure-C, reveals that the Tahsildar, Gondia has recorded the aforesaid controversy in detail and has directed the Deputy Superintendent of Land Records, Gondia to act accordingly and has directed to demarcate
2 104 WP 2133.26.odt the boundaries, prepared the latest map and submit their report to his office.

The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that in spite of directions from the office of the Tahsildar, Gondia on 19.9.2025 and in spite of passage of almost six months, nothing has been done by the office of the Superintendent, Land Records, Gondia. He also invites out attention to the schedule of Ward Formation issued by the State of Maharashtra, Rural Development Department on 17.2.2026 for the Gram Panchayat. The Schedule is at page 27 - Annexure 'D'. As per the aforesaid schedule, the procedure of such ward formation, which has already commenced on 20.02.2026, will be completed on 28.4.2026.

In view of above, we dispose of the present petition with a direction to the respondents, more specifically the respondent no.6 - Deputy Superintendent, Land Record, Gondia to act accordingly as directed in the communication dated 19.9.2025 and submit the compliance report to the respondent no.5-Tahsildar, Gondia, within a period of four weeks from today, in accordance with the law. 7.
Once such report is submitted by the respondent no.6, the other respondents, more specifically respondent no.5-Tahsildar, Gondia and the respondent no.3-Collector, Gondia shall take necessary steps in accordance with the law.
