Petitioner's challenge is to the Order dated 12.02.2026 passed by the Additional Collector, Yavatmal thereby, removing the petitioner as Member of the Gat Gram Panchayat, Bitargaon (Bk), under Section 36 of the Maharashtra Village Panchayat Act, 1959.

Having regard to the controversy involved, issue notice to the respondents, returnable on 24.03.2026. 4.

Learned AGP waives service of notice on behalf of respondent No.1/State.

Advocate Mr. J.S. Wankhede, waives service of notice on behalf of respondent No.4.

Petitioner is permitted to serve the remaining respondents by private mode, in addition to regular mode of service and file affidavit of service in that regard by next date.

In the meantime, parties are directed to maintain status-quo, till further orders.
