Rule. Rule is made returnable forthwith. Heard finally with the consent of the learned counsel for the parties. 4.

The present petition prays for a direction to the respondent no. 2, the Scrutiny Committee, to consider the application dated 28.02.2025 bearing No.5/503/Edu/022025/305219 within a particular time frame.

As can be seen from the facts in the petition:- (a) On 28.12.2025, the petitioner made an application for grant of a Caste Validity Certificate to the respondent no. 2 and applied for the State Entrance Test Cell Examination for the MBA course. (b) Till 18.12.2025, as the respondent no. 2 had not passed any order, nor called the petitioner for submission of the documents, the

921.WP2303.26.odt 3/4 petitioner was constrained to make an application/proposal highlighting the fact that her application is pending for almost one year.

(c) Thereafter, on 12.01.2026, the Scrutiny Committe, i.e., the respondent no. 2, called the petitioner for hearing and to submit her say to the police vigilance report on 19.01.2026, which was accordingly done. However in spite of these facts, according to the learned counsel for the petitioner, no further progress has been made in the matter.

It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the exams are scheduled to be conducted in March 2026 and the admissions are to begin in June 2026. The petitioner has, therefore, approached this Court for seeking direction as stated supra.

We have considered the contentions canvassed by the learned counsel for the petitioner. In view of the limited relief prayed for in the petition as mentioned above, we are inclined to issue such a direction. We, therefore, pass the following order :-

ORDER

i) The Writ Petition stands allowed.

ii) Respondent no. 2, Scrutiny Committee, is directed to consider and decide the application/proposal of the petitioner dated 28.02.2025 bearing No.5/503/Edu/022025/305219 as expeditiously as possible and in any case within three months, i.e., not later than 30.06.2026.

Rule is made absolute in the aforesaid terms, and the Writ Petition is disposed of.
