Rule. Rule is made returnable forthwith. Heard finally with the consent of parties.

The petition prays for a direction to the respondent Committee to consider the tribe claim of the petitioner for 'Mana' Scheduled Tribe expeditiously and for further direction to issue the certificate of validity in her favour.

It is the case of the petitioner that on 05.01.2022, Deputy Collector/Sub Divisional Officer, Nagpur (Rural) issued a tribe certificate in favour of the petitioner. Thereafter, on 27.12.2024, the petitioner submitted her tribe claim to the Committee for verification along with all requisite documents. The petition further states that the petitioner wants to pursue her career in the medical field and she is preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test i.e. NEET. Furthermore, on 12.09.2025, the Police Vigilance Enquiry was completed, to which a reply was filed on 18.09.2025.

In these circumstances, the petitioner has approached this Court for direction as stated supra. In view of the limited prayer being made by the petitioner, we do not think it fit to call for any reply by the respondent. Admittedly, the claim of the petitioner is pending since 27.12.2024. As can be seen from the record, the procedural aspect has been completed, and the matter is only fixed for passing of order on the proposal submitted by the petitioner. Therefore, in our considered opinion, the petition can be disposed with the direction to the respondent Committee to decide the claim of the petitioner for 'Mana' Scheduled Tribe as expeditiously as possible and in any case within two months from the date of receipt of the order.

The Writ Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Rule is made absolute.
