The petitioners have approached this Court seeking direction to the respondents for grant of benefit of compensation in terms of liberalized policy and particularly Clause-1 of the Government Resolution dated 12/10/2015.

The petitioners have approached the respondents-Authorities by making similar request vide representation dated 29/01/2026 which is at record page 57 (Annexure-P-6).

Shri A. J. Thakkar, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the grievance of the petitioners, for the time being, will be redressed if this Court allows an alternate prayer clause (3) and direct the respondents particularly respondent No.2-Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Nagpur and respondent No.3-Chief conservator of Forests, Yavatmal to decide the aforesaid representation dated 29/01/2026 within a stipulated period taking into consideration
2 108-WP-2801-26.odt the judgment of this Court dated 04/10/2022 in Writ Petition No.248/2019 (Maregaon Van Punarvasan Sangharsha Samiti vs. State of Maharashtra and ors.) .

In view of such innocuous prayer being made by the petitioners, we dispose of the present writ petition by directing the respondent No.2-Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Nagpur and respondent No.3-Chief Conservator of Forests, Yavatmal to decide the aforesaid representation dated 29/01/2026 made by the petitioners within a stipulated period of eight weeks from the date of production of the order of this Court by taking in to consideration the judgment in Writ Petition No.248/2019 (Maregaon Van Punarvasan Sangharsha Samiti vs. State of Maharashtra and ors.). The decision taken shall be communicated to the petitioners within a period of two weeks from the date of such decision.
