The petitioner is the sister of deceased employee viz. Vishal Baba Indurkar, who was working with the respondent-Bank of Maharashtra. After her brother expired in harness on 08/03/2020, the petitioner has been persuading the respondent for grant of appointment on compassionate ground and finally the petitioner has submitted her representation/application on 29/10/2025 to the respondent thereby requesting to appoint her on compassionate ground. The aforesaid representation/application dated 29/10/2025 is at record page 18, Annexure-C.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the aforesaid representation/application is not yet decided by the respondent. 4.

In view of the above, we direct the respondent to decide the aforesaid representation/application dated 29/10/2025 submitted by the petitioner for grant of appointment on compassionate ground within a stipulated period of eight weeks from the date of production of the order of this Court in accordance with law. The decision taken thereupon shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of decision. 5.
