The present petition challenges action of the respondent No.5 in publishing provisional seniority list on 28.2.2026 of Teachers, who have passed Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) and Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). 6.

It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioners that without waiting for the result of CTET held on February 2026 a provisional seniority list was published wherein the name of the petitioners did not find the place in it. It is further contended that the petitioner took objection promptly on 9.3.2026 and further on 20.3.2026 regarding the provisional seniority list. It is her further contention that at present and after filing of the petition all the petitioners have cleared CTET examination. She further states that as on date final seniority list is not published. 7.

In that view of the matter, in our considered opinion the petition can be disposed of with a direction to the petitioners to make a fresh representation to the respondent No.4, who is supposed to publish final seniority list. The representation would obviously contain the fact that the petitioners have cleared the CTET examination.

We further direct the respondent No.4 to consider the said representation in view of the said fact of the petitioners clearing the said examination and in accordance with all provisions of law in that regard.

The said representation to be made till 10th April, 2026 and the respondent No.4 is further directed to take a decision on the said representation as aforesaid till 30th April, 2026. 10.

With a direction writ petition is disposed of. 11.
