Learned AGP waives service of notice on behalf of respondent no.1.

This petition seeks a direction to the respondent Scrutiny Committee to adjudicate and decide the petitioner's caste claim within a stipulated time period.

It is evident from the facts of the present petition that the caste certificate certifying that the petitioner belongs to the "Thakur (Scheduled Tribe)" category was issued by the SubDivisional Officer, Akot, on 01.07.2018. Thereafter, on 23.01.2026, the petitioner submitted a proposal for verification of his tribe claim before the Scrutiny Committee. The petitioner contends that he has applied for the LL.B. CET Examination, 2026 under the Scheduled

2 wp 2347.26.odt Tribe category on 04.03.2026, and therefore, there is an urgent necessity for issuance of the validity certificate. 6.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, and considering that the petitioner's claim has been pending since January 2026, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Scrutiny Committee to decide the petitioner's validity claim within a period of six months from the date of receipt of this order. 7.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms. No order as to costs.
