In view of the innocuous prayer being made in the petition, we do not think it fit to call for any reply by the sole respondent. 4.

Rule. Rule is made returnable forthwith. Heard finally with the consent of the learned counsel for the parties. 5.

The present petition is seeking writ, order or direction to the sole respondent to decide the caste claim belonging to 'Thakur' Scheduled Tribe Category of the petitioner expeditiously and in accordance with law. As can be seen from the record of the matter, the said claim is pending before the Scrutiny Committee from 21.02.2025.

Mr. H. D. Futane, learned AGP appearing for the respondent/State, tenders across the Bench a copy of the communication received by the office of the Government Pleader, Nagpur, on 21.04.2026, wherein requesting for time of one month to decide the claim.

In that view of the matter, we dispose of the petition with direction to the Scrutiny Committee to decide the claim of the petitioner pending with it since 21.02.2025 as expeditiously as possible and till 31.05.2026.
