He submits that father of petitioner No.2 was in the employment of respondent No.2 - Dharampeth Education Society's R.S. Mundle Dharampeth Arts and Commerce College, North Ambazari Road, Ambazari Nagpur, applied for voluntary retirement and the same was accepted on 11th April, 2025 due to his medical conditions. In view of the Scheme for appointment on compassionate basis, petitioner No.2 applied for appointment on compassionate basis on 22nd July, 2025. 3.

The respondent No.2 management informed the petitioners that while the voluntary retirement had been accepted, they should approach respondent No.1 regarding the compassionate appointment of petitioner No.2. Consequently, the petitioners submitted a representation dated 22nd July, 2025

105.WP.3166.2026 2/2 (Annexure-4 at record page No.20), which is still pending consideration.

In view of the above, we dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to respondent No.1 to consider the aforesaid representations dated 22nd July, 2025, as well as the application for grant of appointment on compassionate basis, within a stipulated period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

Respondent No.1 is further directed to treat the present writ petition as a representation and to consider the grounds raised therein regarding the appointment of other persons similarly situated to the petitioners on compassionate basis while deciding the aforesaid representations. 6.

The decision taken thereupon shall be communicated to the petitioners within a period of two weeks thereafter. 7.
